On this episode of the Spartan UP! podcast series, Entrepreneur Network partner Joseph De Sena meets with the founder of Executive Athletes Ken Lubin to discuss ways to be successful.

Lubin explains the importance of buckling down and getting ahead in life. To be successful, do the hard jobs that no one else wants to do. Going above and beyond will help make you the top person in the room, Lubin says.

When going into an interview, do your homework -- learn about the person interviewing you and the company. Lubin says to go beyond their expectations, you could even come in with a business plan or if you're interviewing in another country, learn some basics of their language. These things will help you stand out.

On top of preparation, networking and building a positive personal brand are other ways to help you reach success. Having a strong personal brand is more important than ever today with social media and the internet.
