Do Whatever It Takes: Build a Brand on Action A fundamental quality of true entrepreneurs is the mindset and willingness to do anything in order to build a company that makes money and changes the world.

Some business owners think that if they have a product or service then, like magic, customers will come and they'll be a success. But real entrepreneurs just don't sit around or rely solely on advertising to build a brand. A fundamental quality of successful entrepreneurs is the mindset and willingness to do whatever it takes to build a company that makes money and changes the world.
"You gotta be willing to do whatever it takes -- regardless of your product, the competition ... the economic conditions or whatever," says sales expert Grant Cardone.
Its that mindset and drive that pushes a passionate entrepreneur to build something better and make it successful. Doing whatever it takes helps build a brand based on action -- a brand that's recognized for what it does, not what it might say in some marketing or advertising campaign.
To Cardone, rapper and entrepreneur Jay Z is an example of someone who gets the "whatever it takes" mentality. "He grew up extremely poor," Cardone explains. "In an interview he talked about, 'when I grew up, we didn't talk about being poor, we talked about doing whatever it took to get rich.'"
