Tour LittleBits, the Store for Inventors of All Ages Get an inside look at LittleBits' brick and mortar storefront.

By Nina Zipkin

Ayah Bdeir founded her startup LittleBits to make engineering and hardware more accessible. For four years, the company has done this online, selling DIY kits utilizing the company's open source library of 60 interchangeable, magnetized electronic building blocks. This summer, the CEO and her team took their concept further, opening the very first LittleBits store.

At the shop in Manhattan's SoHo, visitors are encouraged to immerse themselves in technology, whether it's through playing on a musical twister wall or building their own invention in the workshop. "It's a new concept for a retail store," says Bdeir. "It's part store and part lab." To learn more about how this store is making inventing easier, take this video tour of the shop.
