NASA's current challenge speaks for itself.

"The U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) seeks proposed solutions for fecal, urine and menstrual management systems to be used in the crew's launch and entry suits over a continuous duration of up to 144 hours. An in-suit waste management system would be beneficial for contingency scenarios or for any long duration tasks."

The obvious name for it? The "Space Poop Challenge."

Yes, some of the leading minds in the U.S. need your innovative ideas to manage poop and other bodily waste out in space.

Fortunately (or maybe unfortunately?), the team at The Daily Show decided to take part. They enlisted the services of Shark Tank's Barbara Corcoran and Project Runway's Tim Gunn to judge three correspondents's pitches. An unnamed NASA astrophysicist also joined them.
