In this video, Entrepreneur Network partner C1 Revolution features Brad Parker, CEO of Parker Restaurant Group. In one year, Parker opened three restaurants in Chicago. The Hampton Social, The Bassment and Mahalo are quickly becoming local favorites and travel destinations.

Parker points out the importance of social media for lifestyle companies, explaining that the power of a third party is much greater than any deliberate ad placement or self-promotional element. Unique design elements are key to differentiating your experience, and a small investment can go a long way.

"People want to have a reason to tell people they're there," he explains. Elaborating on his individual strategy for these lifestyle restaurants, Parker notes that it isn't always easy or obvious.

"There's a missing piece in [entrepreneurs'] heads ... we don't fear failure, because fearing failure will make you stop trying to do it in the first place."
