Who Made the Top 10?
Every year, Entrepreneur magazine and PricewaterhouseCoopers' draw from a number of sources to come up with a list of fast-growing new companies. Then we contact those companies, get financial data, and crunch some numbers to get a list of the hottest 100 companies in America.
What do these companies have in common? They're all less than five years old; their founders still run the show; they have fewer than 1,000 employees; and their annual sales exceed $1 million. In fact, many of the companies have sales of much more than $1 million.
This year, the Hot 100 companies collectively had $1.7 billion in sales in 2005. The companies in the top 10 had nearly $640 million alone.
Learn more about our top 10--those that grew the fastest out of anyone--in the following slides, including their success secrets, best advice and startup motivation.
