Write it right.(Letters)(Letter to the editor)

THE ARTICLE, "BLACK WOMEN More Affected by Domestic Violence," in the Talking Points section (May 2009) was very offensive to law-abiding black men who are trying to do the right thing. Yes, black women are affected by domestic violence, but black men are too. "Black males experienced intimate partner violence at a rate about 62% higher than that of white males and about 22 times the rate of men of other races." If you're going to write a story like this you should give both sides. To just throw an article together that has this much importance is irresponsible. Let's stop putting down black men. Let's start healing our young black men just as we are our young black women.
