Who can resist an invite to belly up to the table at grandma's for Thanksgiving, even if it's not actually your grandma?

Earlier this week, Buzzfeed's Tanya Chen shared the story of Wanda Delch, a Mesa, Ariz., resident who texted her grandson to come to her house for Thanksgiving dinner this year. Great intentions, wrong number. Grandma's message popped up on the phone of 17-year-old Jamal Hinton, a high school student, who was sitting in class.

In an interview with CNN affiliate KNXV, Hinton explained, "I texted back and I said 'Who is this?' And she was like, 'It's your grandma.'"

After some brief confusion, the two exchanged photos and soon realized that grandma had the wrong kid. His tummy undeterred by such minor details, Hinton texted back to see if the offer still stood. His text, as it appeared in the Buzzfeed story, and her response below:

Hinton posted their text exchange online and it has since gone viral. See, nice things can happen on the Internet!
