Having a hard time planning your next vacation due to work responsibilities and financial constraints? You aren't alone.

The percentage of full-time employees who take vacations has declined over the last few years. Nearly 65 percent of full-time workers say they plan to take a vacation at some point this year, down from 80 percent in 2007, according to research compiled by Best Hospitality Degrees.

Even when employees save up funds for trips, work follows them on vacation. Forty-two percent of employees have canceled or postponed vacation plans because of work, and 4 out of 10 managers expect employees to check email while on vacation. Nonetheless, many employees refuse to let work spoil their fun – 32 percent never check their work email while on vacation and 34 percent only check their email sometimes.

Take a look at the infographic below for more info on how Americans juggle vacation, work and money.
