Dawn Casale, co-owner of One Girl Cookies, a bake shop, wholesale and events company in Brooklyn, N.Y., realized after expanding her business that she still had a lot to learn as an entrepreneur. "After 15 years, you think you've got it all figured out, and you don't," she says in a video.

After she moved One Girl Cookies headquarters from the Cobble Hill neighborhood to another Brooklyn location in Industry City, many senior-level employees left. The company faced major issues stabilizing the kitchen.

"One of the positions that was available was a co-manager in the kitchen," Casale says. "We brought on a couple of different people to fill that role, and unfortunately neither of them worked out."

After 15 years in business, One Girl Cookies needed to shake things up.

Through flexibility and the willingness to question her decisions, Casale pursued other management options that ended in success.

That doesn't mean the journey is over, though. "As an entrepreneur, no matter how long you've been in business, there are always new challenges that arise," she says.
