SOMESING, a block-chain-based social music service App, announced on 15 February 2019 that it has signed a strategic alliance with Keypair, a renowned developer of electronic wallet for cryptocurrency in South Korea.
"SOMESING's vision lies in building a service that allows singing to be part of users' everyday life, by combining traditional Karaoke App model with block-chain technology.
The two companies' strategic alliance is a meaningful step in terms of expanding the usability of cryptocurrency in various offline environments through "Key Wallet Touch' of Keypair", said Mr Heuibae KIM, the CEO of SOMESING.
"By greatly increasing the accessibility of SOMESING's cryptocurrency via Keypair, SOMESING finally has taken its cryptocurrency into an environment where it can directly be used in the real life", emphasized Mr Heuibae KIM.
He also mentioned that the timing of the strategic partnership is on point in that such step forward would bring a positive change in the public's perception of cryptocurrency.
"Key Wallet Touch', a cold wallet developed by Keypair, enables users to use its service on a mobile device like a smartphone using NFC (Near Field Communication). However, Keypair's new development has increased its accessibility on for its users with its 'Key Wallet Reader' that supports payment as well as PC environment.
"There is a high expectation for a strategic alliance with SOMESING, which will accelerate the development of real-use model services in cryptocurrency market that lacks real usability yet. We intend to continue leading the real-use business in the future that applies cryptocurrency such as SOMESING through expansion of use with Keypair Product Group", said Mr Changkeun Kevin LEE, the CEO of Keypair.
"The strategic partnership formed by SOMESING and Key Wallet will be the very first signal to announce the start of actual service of ICON's DApp(s) in the future", evaluated Mr Hyun OH, CEO of Deblock, SOMESING, ICON's DApp, has developed an ecosystem with a new service format that enhances its functionality as a block-chain-based social music network service by adding value to the content of songs that users sing.
SOMESING's beta service is expected to be available to the public for testing in the 1st quarter of 2019.
