YouTube Space Launches In Dubai Studio City To Nurture The Creatives Community YouTube has brought MENA's first YouTube Space in Dubai Studio City to support the region's growing creator community with a facility to support production, access to high-end equipment and more.

If you've got the knack for producing creative videos that make a mark on social media, here's your chance. In a move strengthening Dubai as the hub for new media and entertainment industry, YouTube has brought MENA's first YouTube Space to Dubai Studio City to support the region's growing creatives community with a facility to support production, access to high-end equipment, and more. Dubai joins Los Angeles, London, Tokyo, New York City, Berlin, Sao Paolo, Mumbai, Toronto and Paris as the 10th YouTube Space, wherein YouTube content creators can come in and have access to its facilities.

A partnership between YouTube and Dubai Studio City, the space seeks to support YouTubers across various levels. YouTube channels with 1,000 subscribers or more will have free access to training programs, workshops and events at the space. Whereas, channels with more than 10,000 subscribers will have free access to production facilities including two studios, a production room, two editing desks, a workshop area, editing and audio and visual equipment. It's a pivotal sign as the number of YouTube creators in MENA continues to increase. According to their release, MENA has more than 200 channels with over 1 million subscriber, and over 30,000 channels with more than 10,000 subscribers.

Robert Kyncl, Chief Business Officer of YouTube, says the launch of YouTube Spaces is a testament to their commitment to the YouTube Partner Program and the creators who have made their living on YouTube, as well as how the Space is a chance for creators to take advantage of the sets and equipment available. Majed Al Suwaidi, Managing Director of Dubai Studio City encourages content creators to take advantage of the new YouTube Space. "Today, people have a barrier of entry into the space, and today, spaces such as these, and the one we have today at in5, are built to take away that barrier of entry. It makes it easier for people to start, it gives them the opportunity to sit with likeminded people who are interested in creation, it gives them the opportunity to go through [a] lot of workshops that [could help] hone and develop their skillset." He notes, with the maturity and low barriers to entry in the space, they're on the lookout for good quality content, and hopefully, with the launch of such initiativies, more good content would be developed from the region.

On significant changes in the MENA's YouTube creators community, David Ripert, Head of YouTube Spaces in Europe, Middle East and Africa, says, "We've seen a lot of changes, but actually, the creators are the heart of YouTube and the heart of community," noting how the creatives are more adept than they used to be at using YouTube's advertising revenue programs to gain income.

Eligible creators will be able to book their production sessions through the online booking form on the site.
