Souq.com has launched an online hypermarket called Superstore, where users can order regular household and food items from the comforts of their homes.

The company has partnered with brands like P&G, Pepsi, Unilever, Nestle, Henkel, Mars, Reckitt Benckiser, L'Oreal, Johnson & Johnson and more to provide discounts and generally offer the same prices as a regular brick and mortar supermarket. Superstore offers a variety of products in six categories: Food & Grocery, Health & Beauty, Household Needs, Pet Care, Nutrition & Supplements, and Baby Care, along with separate sections for organic food, chocolates, etc. Superstore's launch comes soon after Souq.com's recent investment in InstaShop, which is part of its drive "to provide a world-class online shopping experience to customers."

"With SOUQ Superstore offering convenience, greater information, reviews, enhanced customization and unlimited product selection at their fingertips, we are confident of a significant level of consumer adoption here in the Middle East," said Ronaldo Mouchawar, co-founder and CEO, Souq.com, in a release. "It's an exciting time to launch such a category as our digitally savvy consumers in the market are leading the online shopping trend, and we are experiencing exponential growth in m-commerce. By leading with innovative solutions we are set to change the way consumers shop and eat today."
