Tessa Burg, Tenlo
Tessa started as a developer early in her career. Still, her love for data and metrics pulled her from just developing the solution to optimizing it for search engines, engagement, and conversion. The double-digit growth she generated for employers and clients fueled her curiosity to uncover the "why" behind it all.
She launched the company's first attribution models, giving stakeholders visibility into which areas of the customer journey had the most potential to drive growth by aligning with customer intent. These projects allowed her to collaborate with experts in data science and user experience – and she was so fascinated by the combination of all three – data, experience, and tech – that her next move was to design software solutions from scratch at a fintech start-up.
In her role at start-ups and at her current digital marketing company, Tenlo, where she is also a partner, Tessa has served as the Technology Strategist, Sales Engineer, Solution Architect, and Product Manager. She takes whatever role is required to help sell in a solution that maximizes clients' tech investments and aligns the solution (website, application, portal, automation flow) with what customers want.
Tessa has grown tech's topline contribution to Tenlo's revenue from 15% to 60%+ by marrying what savvy marketers do best with clean solution design.
