We are interested in artificial intelligence related computing, that's just one. Enabling efficiency to compute, enabling connectivity, reducing loss of time and data transfers are also areas that interests us,"

Rai said that India has the right kind of talent to tap this opportunity and innovate, one just needs to give them the right infrastructure, support and connect them to the right VCs. "The only thing we need to do is to "think big!" she said.

India moves beyond the software services sector

Speaking on how India today has moved on from being just a services sector Rai said that the number of companies setting up their R&D centres in India is a clear sign of the fact that India is not just synonymous to software and services, it's synonymous to technology. Rai said that startups and those helping them seek a lot of help from the government in the form of policy and regulatory support from the government – both central and state level.
