How American Workers Use Their Vacation Time (Infographic) A recent survey finds that most people connect to the office at some point during their vacations.

As most Americans head into a long holiday weekend, how many will truly disconnect from work for three days? Unsurprisingly, the answer is not many.

A recent survey from virtual meeting company PGi found that 82 percent of the 500 people surveyed check in with work daily when they are on vacation. Still, at least they get out of the office. Data compiled by PGi found that the average worker leaves two vacation days unused out of 14 vacation days a year. Fifteen percent gave up vacation days because they didn't have time to use them.
