Senior broadcast journalist Pankaj Pachauri has been a name in the Indian media industry since more than three decades. His 7 years in print media, 6 years in radio and 16 years in television broadcasting in Hindi and English across media organisations including the NDTV, BBC, India Today Group and The Sunday Observer are testimony of his robust hold in Indian journalism.

Pachauri launched his independent media publishing website GoNews24*7, which boasts of being India's first app based TV News channel that gives news in 90 seconds.

In a chat with Entrepreneur India, Pachauri lauded entrepreneurship in media in India but cautioned against hasty moves. Pachauri said it's important for media founders to first establish credibility, invest in human capital and once their journalism becomes right, look at expansion.

"The current model of media economy is collapsing all over the world because of social media. Hence, it's important to be concentrate on the 3Cs – being concise, credible and co-creative," Pachauri said.

Counted among the top 10 media startups in 2017, GoNews24*7 is one to watch out for.
