With the entrepreneurial vibe taking over curriculums at the prestigious institutions, the need for delegation of experiences takes the prime focus. To serve the purpose of creating networking opportunities, the E-Cell of IIT Roorkee brought together a variety of brilliant minds at their annual flagship event, E-Summit'19 on 2nd-3rd February 2019.

From corporate giants to industry professionals, the 2-day entrepreneurial extravaganza was filled with delightful moments for knowledge seekers. Over 1200 students, professionals and start-ups from the global entrepreneurial ecosystem marked their presence at the lively event, which expanded its outreach to foreign lands with delegations from Nepal, Taiwan and Malaysia this year.

Exploring the paradigm of innovation, E-Summit'19 promoted the theme "Building for the Billion', inspiring the younger generation to embrace the entrepreneurial spirit. With technology as a disruptor, the millennials are rooting to become job creators instead of job seekers with the aim of creating solutions that impact and improve the lives of the masses.

The attendees exhibited an impeccable spirit during the illustrious celebration of India's great grand entrepreneurial ecosystem. Let's recall the most endearing moments from the conclave:

Creating the Businesses of Digital India

There is a major dialogue going around the digital disruption and students from all spheres are looking to leverage this explosion of technology for creating business solutions across sectors. To share insights from their own experiences, prominent speakers, investors, industrialists and professionals from the industry provided their prestigious opinions on the direction India's startup space is headed.

The two-day event was adorned with workshops and sessions, competitions and opportunities decoding the mystery behind the prominence of leadership and passion. Despite the B-Plan Competition, Case Challenge, Productathon, Conclaves and Leadership Series being the event's highlight, the Blockchain Conclave took the crown as the major attraction.

Organized in partnership with IDAP, Etheralabs, Augmate, Plato and Coin-safe, the conclave aimed to provide the participants with the knowledge needed to start with "Building on Blockchain'. The insightful panel discussion on entrepreneurial prospects moderated by Entrepreneur India's Associate Editor, Aashika Jain was also among the hailed sessions.

Industry veterans - Kamal Bali, the President & Managing Director of Volvo Group India, Tarun Katial, the CEO of ZEE5 India, Samiron Ghoshal, the Managing Partner at IBM GBS, India/South Asia and Gulzar Azad, the Country Head for Connectivity at Google India spoke at length about the industrial outlook and forthcoming opportunities for the millennial generation.

Acknowledging the Compelling Vision

Various new technologies are disrupting the space and the startup ecosystem is not leaving any stone unturned to leverage the untapped spaces with their innovative solutions. Many such start-ups were present at the E-Summit to showcase their respective contributions to varied industries.

IDAP, a complete crypto derivatives exchange is built upon the core team's combined experience of nearly three decades in traditional financial markets on world-class exchanges like CME and ICE. The FinTech startup caters to derivatives trading, a huge market traditionally is untapped in the crypto space. Another one looking to capitalize the technology is Augmate.

The startup harnesses the power of the Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain and artificial intelligence to empower the 4th industrial revolution. Touted as the world's leading device management solution for wearable technology, Augmate's goal is to connect all things with the same powerful simplicity of wearables. Adding to the list of tech-driven platforms, vertical search is a highly scalable area.

Aiming to unlocks the power of Vertical Search, Plato is an open intelligence repository. It sits on top of a proprietary search engine and development framework that enhances the way data intelligence is accessed, consumed and shared. The platform is designed to provide a safe and secure environment to consume and synthesize real-time data intelligence in a highly personal and engaging way.
